Heart originally started as a Monsterhearts RPG game with a small group of friends over the summer of 2023. The game lasted 11 weeks and told an extravagant story of 4 kids in their monstrous journey of self-discovery. At the end of the summer, the players asked DM, Ashton Barlow, if they could record their game next summer. His response to that was writing the first season of Heart. The idea being that they would create an audio drama to give viewers a framework for what the next season of the game would look like.

Heart is an audio drama about four young monsters who are invited to the prestigious Monster Academy school, Primal Preparatory. But on the first day of school, a student is murdered. Our young heroes take up arms to find the murderer and discover the mysteries within the campus of Primal Preparatory.
